OPERATION & MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE
ENERGY Systems has 10 years experience in running landfill gas to electricity projects with the first project being a 400KW landfill plant that was developed on the Alton landfill site in Richards Bay. The 400KW generator was a 4000 series Perkins biogas engine that ran on landfill gas and was serviced using experience gained from our UK partners who had been operating and maintaining over 100MW of landfill gas to electricity projects across Europe.
The Second project developed by ENERGY Systems SA was the EnviroServ – Chloorkop landfill gas CDM (Clean Development Development) project in which ENERGY Systems SA was the EPC contractor and contracted to undertake the O&M of the flare, gas collection system and all CDM related scope of works.
The third project is the Simmer and Jack landfill gas to electricity project in which ENERGY Systems SA was appointed as the EPC contractor and contracted to design and supply the full turnkey power plant and also as an Operations and Maintenance service provider on a short term contract basis. This O & M service contract has subsequently been renewed twice.
